PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) element is also called PTC heat sensitive resistance ceramic. It is a kind of semiconductor function ceramic with positive temperature coefficient. Before reaching switching temperature (Tc) the temperature rises while resistance decreases. While the temperature is in the range from switching temperature to lose control of temperature, resistance rises sharply as temperature ascends.
